You choose which notices you get, and you can turn any of them off at any time.
Which do you have?
You’re already in the Calvary app. Skip to the last two steps to turn on notifications, or open My family & account → Notifications.

iPhone or iPad

Open the website in Safari
Open Safari (the blue compass) and go to calvarymennonite.com/members.
It must be Safari. If you tapped a link inside Facebook, Gmail, or a text message, it may have opened somewhere else. See “Don’t see Add to Home Screen?” below.

Tap the ••• button
It’s at the bottom right of the screen, next to the address.
Older iPhone? You’ll see a Share button (a square with an arrow pointing up) in the middle of the bottom bar instead. Tap it and skip to step 4.

Tap Share
It’s at the top of the menu that opens.

Tap “Add to Home Screen”
Slide the list up to find it. It has a small square with a plus sign.
Not in the list? Scroll to the very bottom and tap Edit Actions… or More, then choose Add to Home Screen.

Tap Add
Leave the name as Calvary. If you see “Open as Web App,” leave it turned on (green).
Tap Add in the top right corner.

Open Calvary from your Home Screen
Press the Home button or swipe up to go to your Home Screen. Find the new Calvary icon and tap it.
Sign in once with the code we send you. After that, it stays signed in.

Tap “Turn on notifications”
When Calvary asks, tap Turn on notifications.
You can also turn them on anytime in My family & account → Notifications.

Tap Allow
Your iPhone asks to make sure. Tap Allow.
That’s it. You’re all set.
On an iPad, the Share button is at the top right of Safari, beside the address.
Android phones

Open the website in Chrome
Open Chrome and go to calvarymennonite.com/members.
If a box pops up at the bottom saying “Install Calvary” or “Add Calvary to Home screen,” just tap Install and skip to step 4.

Tap the ⋮ menu
Tap the three dots at the top right, next to the address.

Tap “Add to Home screen”
On some phones it says “Install app” instead. Either one works.

Tap Install
Tap Install (or Add). Calvary is added to your home screen in a few seconds.

Open Calvary from your home screen
Go to your home screen and tap the Calvary icon. If you don’t see it, swipe up to look in all your apps.
Sign in once with the code we send you. After that, it stays signed in.

Tap “Turn on notifications”
When Calvary asks, tap Turn on notifications.
You can also turn them on anytime in My family & account → Notifications.

Your phone asks to make sure. Tap Allow.
That’s it. You’re all set.
Computers

Open the member area in Chrome or Edge
On your computer, open Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge and go to calvarymennonite.com/members. Sign in if it asks.

Click the install button
At the right end of the address bar, click the small install button (a screen with a down arrow).
Then click Install.
Don’t see it? In Chrome, open the ⋮ menu → Cast, save, and share → Install page as app. In Edge, open the ⋯ menu → Apps → Install this site as an app.

Keep it handy
Calvary opens in its own window, already signed in. On Windows, right-click its icon on the taskbar and choose Pin to taskbar. On a Mac, it stays in your Dock.
Right-click the icon to jump straight to the Calendar, Directory, Daily or Bulletin.

Turn on notifications
On member home, click Turn on, then Allow. Notices pop up in the corner of your screen, like email alerts.
Safari on a Mac (macOS Sonoma or newer): choose File → Add to Dock, then Add.
The pictures are drawings. Your screen may look a little different, but the buttons are in the same places.
If something doesn’t look right
I don’t see “Add to Home Screen” on my iPhone
You’re probably looking at the page inside another app (Facebook, Messenger, Gmail, or a text message link). Look for a compass icon or “Open in Safari” and tap it. Or open Safari yourself and type calvarymennonite.com/members.
If you’re in Safari, slide the share list all the way up. Add to Home Screen is below the row of app icons.
I tapped “Don’t Allow” by mistake
iPhone: open the Settings app, tap Notifications, find Calvary, and turn on Allow Notifications.
Android: touch and hold the Calvary icon, tap App info (or the ⓘ), tap Notifications, and turn them on.
It says my iPhone needs an update
Notifications need iOS 16.4 or newer. Open Settings → General → Software Update. After updating, open Calvary from your Home Screen again.
I don’t get notices anymore
Open Calvary from your Home Screen and go to My family & account → Notifications. Check that this phone is turned on and the notices you want are checked. If you got a new phone, you’ll need to add Calvary to it again.
I can’t sign in
You need a member account first. Sign in here with your email or phone number, and the church will approve your account.
